We are looking for a superstar candidate to join our team as Head of Marketing & Community. You will manage and develop Mosaic’s content, marketing and event-hosting activities -- a key element of the firm’s outward-facing presence -- and lead engagement with entrepreneurs (our core constituency), and the broader startup ecosystem.

Mosaic Ventures is a London-based, Silicon Valley-style venture capital fund that invests at an early stage into many of the most promising startups across Europe.  The firm partners with founders of companies using technology to create or shape big markets, and disrupt existing industries.  Mosaic is founder-centric, focusing on building long term relationships and taking risk to achieve significant outcomes.  The three co-founding partners collectively have invested over 40 years in 100+ businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.  Having started Mosaic in 2014, we are a dynamic, experienced entrepreneurial team, several years into our own startup, building one of the leading early stage venture firms in Europe.  For more background, please read about what we invest in, our values, and the Mosaic story.

Job Description

Marketing and Events

We curate and host numerous events bringing together some of the brightest minds. We brainstorm different investment themes to develop thought leadership in these areas, and nurture relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders and fellow investors. Our events may be in the form of discussion groups, industry roundtables, networking drinks and dinners, or full-day meetups. We typically host two dozen plus events each year, the majority in central London.  Last year these included:

You will be responsible for the events calendar, working closely with the investment team to coordinate guest lists, organize suitable venues, develop the content and speakers, and manage logistics and event-service providers.

Content and Social Media

Mosaic Ventures is seeking to build its brand through a combination of original content -- in the form of blogs, podcasts and videos -- as well as through engaging in conversations on various media channels across a range of topics related to technology entrepreneurship and the broader startup ecosystem.  We also publish a quarterly newsletter. As Head of Marketing & Community, you will oversee Mosaic’s content development and publishing, to communicate our original thinking and perspectives across multiple media platforms. You will also manage our media presence through blogs, videos, LinkedIn/Twitter/ Facebook/ Medium/other platforms to grow reach across the broader founder community; and leverage analytics to iterate our communication strategy and tactics/platform focus based on feedback & learnings.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in one or more of: digital marketing, branding, communications, event coordination and/or social media. A deep interest in the startup ecosystem and how venture capital contributes to it, is a must.  We are looking for someone with the following skills and traits.
